I had GAF shingles installed on my house 2012 and we noticed grit in our gutters so we called the company that installed our shingles and they came out said it was coming off our shingles they needed to file a claim let there rep come out that never happened the roof company had to do all the work for half so the roofing company sent them a estimate for over **** dollars they sent back what they are going to pay for just the shingles and ***** square foot to install them nothing else they said they do not pay tear off removi... read more

The GAF warranty is a joke. We installed shingles in two different locations. They started blowing off in the first big wind. GAF had me send photos and samples. Cost me almost $50 to mail two shingles ground. They were tested in an in-house lab. All I got back were excuses, we must have nailed wrong, it was too cold. Big so-called lifetime warranty of 50 years from this company. I called them after noticing a puddle of water in my closet 4 years after the tiles were installed, and was told someone would call back in 5-7 days. No one did. I placed a second call on 11-8-21 and was told an inspection was assigned to Avalon Building Concepts and that if the inspection was not performed within 2 weeks, to call their office. They act like their blind I had paramount builders do a terrible job on my roof GAF had an inspector come out a **** Z territory manager in Richmond said he saw no problems even though my inspector *************************** said it was a tear off after reporting them to BBB did they replace my roof how did **** Z get it wrong at least I'm not blind

The fine print in the warranty makes it nearly impossible to make a warranty claim. So sad for a made in ******* company.

The ********************** process is a bit much but I did exactly what was required. The 40 year shingles that were installed properly on my roof 13 yrs ago were in a class action law with timberline shingles made between 1998 & 2009 that split, crack or tear Prematurely. The offer letter states there is 51% left of the warrany and only 49% used. The settlement they offered is 1k. Every shingle (33 sq) needs to be replaced and the estimate to replace is 16k. The warranty claims administrator is doing a good job of keeping us from satisfying their claim of photographs not being enough. I have had the roofing company come out 3 times now and take photos and still not good enough. They are obviously making it impossible to get this handled, while I have a leaky roof and trying to get this rectified. I would recommend never deal with any GAF products these people are heartless . No stars is what they deserve, no doubt !!!

GAF puts up so many hurdles in their warranty claim process that it is impossible to satisfy them. Although I sent them photographs that clearly show that my ridge cap shingles are splitting, they insist that I send them samples of the ridge shingles. To have a roofer take off and replace samples will cost more than the claim is worth.

They Don't honor their warranty agreement. From the reviews I read, they are making money off people who sell their house and do not transfer warranty. I will never never deal with any company that use their materials.
