I have a problem with the shingles on a Roof that were manufactured by GAF. It is a Timberland, Lifetime Roof. The clam number is ********, it was installed by a company in ******* ****** called Diversified Roofing. I called this company and they came out and agreed the shingles were defective and said that I would have to file a claim directly with GAF. Run Forest, run! Seriously.Not just from the elite rated roofing companies but GAF ***************as well. BE AWARE: You pick out the color you want but you won't necessarily receive the color you picked from the sample board or an actual shingle sample. GAF *************** advised they have no control over ***********. I could receive a light, medium and dark in the charcoal color. Horrible experience with GAF warranty. They play the old insurance company game.keep rejecting claim in hopes you will just give up and go away! Heck of a way for a large company such as GAF to conduct business. Would NOT recommend using GAF for this reason. Go with ***** Corning instead. GAF warranty department kept insisting shingle issue was installation related (high nailing). As others have said they dont honor their warranty. Had a master elite roofer install a new roof, hes a piece of ****, did a shoddy job and GAF could care less. Its been 11 months , roofer been out 3 times , hacked up the roof more than it was, replaced 10 square out of 37, flipped over shingles used for starter, missing ice and water, GAF now ignoring calls and emails. They could care less. Roofer is completely incompetent, yet they still give him master elite status, its disgusting. DO NOT Trust this company,

I installed a new roof 1 month ago there was an obvious dye lot issue. The burden was mine to prove, after removing and sending samples from the roof and replacing the sample shingles with new shingles, taking drone footage along with multiple photos as well as sending my tax bill to prove I owned the property I've been waiting four weeks with no response other than the online portal saying "awaiting lab results. I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way. I had GAF shingles installed on my roof, which were supposedly an upgrade from the previous shingles, and had a longer warranty. I never paid attention to my roof after that until my neighbor told me that my roof looked horrible. It has been about 12 years since I had the roof installed. On closer examination I saw that the shingles were worn out and you could see the white material along the edges of the shingles. I had GAF shingles installed on my house 2012 and we noticed grit in our gutters so we called the company that installed our shingles and they came out said it was coming off our shingles they needed to file a claim let there rep come out that never happened the roof company had to do all the work for half so the roofing company sent them a estimate for over **** dollars they sent back what they are going to pay for just the shingles and ***** square foot to install them nothing else they said they do not pay tear off removi... read more

The GAF warranty is a joke. We installed shingles in two different locations. They started blowing off in the first big wind. GAF had me send photos and samples. Cost me almost $50 to mail two shingles ground. They were tested in an in-house lab. All I got back were excuses, we must have nailed wrong, it was too cold. They told me that in cold weather you have to hand seal every shingle. I have the weather data, it was not that cold! We would not have been up there if it had been. Big so-called lifetime warranty of 50 years from this company. I called them after noticing a puddle of water in my closet 4 years after the tiles were installed, and was told someone would call back in 5-7 days. No one did. I placed a second call on 11-8-21 and was told an inspection was assigned to Avalon Building Concepts and that if the inspection was not performed within 2 weeks, to call their office.
