In 1934, Denver's most notorious family, the Smalldones opened up an eatery in the North Side to become the heart of both Italian cuisine and an illicit operation. While drawing the neighborhood's attention to their famous pasta, they also drew the attention from police as Denver's only mafia operated in the basement. First time going, right by the house never knew it, Food was excellent, I will be going back!
Excellent service the hostess was amazing. We didn't have a reservation, there were no tables for atleast an hour. She got my party of five a table in 20 minutes. The chef brought a complementary appetizer to the table. The chicken parmesan is enough for two people and delicious. Great place definately a place I'm going back to.
We have eaten dinner here twice now, fabulous service, the food is amazing. We will be back. Everyone is so friendly, love this place.
Coming from Wisco where I raged Madison and Milwaukee for years this is easily the greatest bloody bar I’ve ever had for the money. Beyond worth it. Just go. Trust me.
Great food and such interesting history. Our terrific waitress was Caitlin...she helped make our birthday lunch fun.
Chicken Marsala was excellent - be prepared to enjoy generous amounts of garlic. The gnocchi was tasty, but the consistency was too mushy.
