Dr Lynda Spelman and her team of doctors, nurses and pharmacist have supported me for many years, for which I am extremely grateful. Their level of professionalism, care and empathy has always been outstanding. Now, with a new team of Adriana and Jarek looking after the administrative roles, attending appointments is no longer a cause for anxiety and a feeling of dread. The waiting room is welcoming and comfortable, and it's a delight to be treated as a valued patient worthy of respect and compassion.
Dr Spelman is amazing but as you can see from all the reviews, the administration staff especially Shelly is absolutely terrible at her job. The fact that she is still working here after all the negative reviews and complaints is shocking. She has absolutely NO professionalism or sympathy and is consistently horrible to deal with. She is simply a rude person.
Every single interaction with Shelly has been truly awful. Whether by phone or in person, she is so rude. After being a patient here for years, I’ve decided I’d rather go somewhere else.
I was told by the receptionist today that they don’t have appointments available until September/October and was told that other dermatologists in south east area would have the same availability. I called another clinic and they had 2 appointments next business day. I wouldn’t wait for 4 months for an appointment here.
The doctors are great however, administrative staff are terrible, particularly Shelly. She is blantantly rude on the phone when trying to book an appointment, extremely condescending while questioning things i am telling her about my own experiences, and when asked about the billing she was very rude just saying “i don’t know i don’t deal with that” couldn’t give me an idea or even apologise for not being able to give a straight answer.
