Horrible company. Flush your money and live in a box first. – Totally abyssmal company. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. As with the other reviews, they do not maintain their properties sufficiently and when something happens because of their negligence they don't feel they're responsible. I've also experienced the haughty, rude attitude from their employees, especially the Property Manager Janey. She claims to have taught SC Rental Law yet doesn't know the contents of it.

TERRIBLE RENTAL COMPANY - HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!!! – If i could give goldsmith a ZERO i would. I let them manage my property and it was utterly DESTROYED. They lie, they don't do property checks, background checks, no kinda of checks!@! i would NEVER do business with them again. I would rather lose a house than work with them. HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!!!

Unhappy With Goldsmith from the First Minute – From the first communication with Goldsmith, I have been extremely displeased with the staff. In moving from Charleston, SC to the Upstate, my fiance and I chose to look for a house using Craigslist. Great Property Management – Have had several after hours emergency situations for Goldsmith/Property management to react to and they have always come through. Goldsmith has a sound emergency procedure in place and we have tested this system with excellent results. Management is client oriented, efficient and personable. TERRIBLE – My heat went out right before the temperature dropped to 27 degrees. Goldsmith told me that I needed to go to Walmart and BUY a heater rather than coming out to fix it. YES, it was during the Emergency hours...well within. But, their reasoning was that the worker wouldn't be able to see. Additionally, they have roaches infested in their properties but won't pay to send anyone out. They are terrible. Janey Beal is the worst. Very unprofessional and extremely rude on the phone.

Beware – Warning to all considering this property management company. I leased a property for 3 years, always paid on time, had the carpets cleaned before vacating, cleaned the entire home, filled and did touch up paint all nail holes, conducting every item on the move out check list. Paid in excess of $68000.00 and was told that if there was any item that needed to be done at close out that they would allow me to make twhatever that might be right. Great Customer Service – I have been doing business with The Goldsmith Company for over 8 years now and have always appreciated their level of professionalism. They are always willing to go the extra step and be there when I needed them. I look forward to continuing to do business with them for many more years.
