The Frying Pan was a former lightship, but eventually fell into disrepair and sunk due to a broken engine. It was bought by its current owners and repaired in the 1980s and now serves as a popular bar and grill. However, the ship still retains its sunken look in the lower levels in order to acknowledge the Frying Pan's long history.

RecommendedVery good food, drinks, and service. They’ve got the safety protocols down pat. My husband and I enjoyed it a great deal. It was our first dining out experience since March.
I have never been so poorly treated by a waiter leaving this place in tears. Unsure of why I was kicked out of this place after ordering drinks and while having a deep emotional conversation with a friend. I will never attend this bar again and 10/10 do NOT recommend.
The Frying Pan is a beautiful site by the the Hudson River. It's perfect for a romantic dinner. I wasn't impressed with the menu, however. For someone as picky as me, I need more variety. I ordered the Old Bay Fries and Calamari. I was very disappointed because the food was extremely salty and the texture of the Calamari was very soggy. I did not enjoy dinner, but did enjoy the view under the moon. Although I'm not much of a drinker, The Frying Pan Light Lager was refreshing.
The Frying Pan is a nice lil pick me up for a quick meal. The view is great. My company and I went for midday lunch out on the deck. The service was good and the views were nice as well. They keep the place pretty clean. The food wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I just wish they had as many options of food as they had drinks.
