About this business

Frontera Grill is the sister establishment of the more well known, Topolobampo next door. Both restaurants are from the celebrated Chef Rick Bayless, however this spot focuses more on casual dining. On weekends, Frontera is always packed, but if you are lucky, you can grab a small stool at the bar with drinks and appetizers before the hostess finds your table. The wait ended up shorter than quoted. The food was beyond delicious. The staff was very attentive. Valet parking, coat check, friendly people all around. A great experience!

I was not impressed. The food was ok but I've had better. We were seated at the front and it was cold and so loud we had to shout to be heard. For $$$ I expected a better experience

We waited so long my daughter told me she's no longer hungry. Very ... read more

Fabulous food and service. Had braised short rib quesadillas. Yummy and only 14 dollars. Love this place.

Excellent food. The tamales tasted just like Bolivian humintas. Price reasonable. Will go again everytime I visit Chicago
