We drove to Chicago on a lark: just to go to Frontera Grill for lunch. No other reason, though we did end up seeing fireworks at Michigan City on the trip. But back to Frontera: excellent service. many great dishes. I only gave it 4 stars because a few dishes were not spectacular. Merely good. And it may be that it just means one shall not like every dish on a menu. Could be that was all that was wrong. But presentation and overall experience was not disappointing.
Wonderful food! Traditional Mexican fare with the best tortilla you will ever eat!

Wonderful food, excellent drinks, and world-class art. What’s not to love? Well, the unsupervised and bratty kid next to us didn’t add to the atmosphere, but still a great visit.
