Fromage was founded by owner Christine Chesanek shortly after she graduated from Villanova University. The original store was a small but quaint location that was always packed with people looking for Christine's expertise on which cheese to choose for their gathering. Fromage c’est vie. Fromage in OS is the center of epicurean delight on the CT shore! If it were only for the cheese this shop would rate 5 STARS, however... the staff resounds with knowledge, experience and friendliness; the offerings other than cheese- charcuterié, patê, oil, among a thousand others is fantastic! I have used Fromage for more than a decade and while living in and out of CT drive here for something different in a friendly and familiar environment.
The best fine food store I have ever visited. Period. Great place to find Petite Basque cheese, quail eggs, off the charts baked goods like croissants, artisan bread, a serving platter, some wine glasses, spices, curry paste, asian sauces, this place has it all.. Plan to spend an hour or more there browsing.
