Little taste and slow service – Really, the food was mediocre at best. I had the crispy chicken. The sauce was plain--not much flavor. Kind of a watered-down tomato paste served on some noodles. Appetizers were ok--nothing that special--a little disappointing. But, hey, if you like to pay high-prices, this is your place. Desserts were good, though. A taste of italy! – Great setting and great service! Reserve your seats for indoors, and in the summer find a nice spot on the patio. The italian foods, breads, etc. will really pleasure your palate. Bring your special date here to impress and romance. Remember to order the great tasting desserts. I reccommend the chocolate bread pudding! Mmmmm...tasty!
Quality from the start = excellence – Any chef's cooking will suffer without quality ingredients. Thankfully, the quality of ingredients here is above reproach. From the fresh baked bread, to high quality of the balsamic vinegar, or the fresh asiago, every single item in these dishes superb. When these came together, every morsel was a delight to the senses. Never Disappoints – Great atmosphere, terrific food and kind staff. On mother's day they presented all mom's with a bouquet of flowers. Nice touch. Keep it up Fresco.
Excellent atmosphere – Fresco Italian Cafe has the best atmosphere of any restaurant that I have ever been to. There are only about 20 tables in my estimation in the whole place. It looks like an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. The food was good, although I would have liked a slightly larger portion. This is one of the best date restaurants there is. Get a reservation as early as you can. I went there on a Monday night and I had a hard time getting reservations.
Fabulous Experience! – I had not eaten at Fresco for a while but went last night. I honestly have to say it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Fresh tomato appetizer was delicious and the chicken entree was unbeliveable. Thats right, chicken! If you havn't been to Fresco for a while you might want to go soon so you can still sit on the patio. It might just be the best food in Salt Lake.
The best – Fresco is romantic, the pasta and fish dishes are always superb. The wine list is great. The service is always good. I fell in love with this restaurant--and I also fell in love in this restaurant.
Great Italian food! – One of Salt Lake's BEST italian restaurants. Inside is small - but the service and food are suberb. Their pasta (especially gnocchi) is excellent. Great outdoor dining as well.
