About this business

Editorial fromThough its menu is limited, the casually elegant Fresco is bound to more than satisfy diners with starters like seared polenta with wild mushroom, Fontina crema and pomodoro. Move on to the risotto of the evening or a Colorado lamb chop…

Good atmosphere – The food was merely average compared to dining in other major cities. However, the atmosphere is very unique and romantic. I found it to be similiar to my experiences in european outdoor cafe. The food is pricey, but really you are paying for the atmosphere. I would still recommend this restuarant as you cannot find these types of restuarants in Utah

Fresco Italian Cafe - Best Northern Italian – Having eaten in many restaurants around the country and throughout the world, Fresco ranks as the restaurant with the finest food. Their northern Italian fare is simply the best. The sauces associated with their many recipes may be the secret to their remarkable dishes. Highly recommended

Best neighborhood haunt in SLC Speaking as a local who lives around the corner from this 15th & 15th restaurant I am estatic there's a place in this day where one can still walk to a great establishment and have one of the best meals in the valley, even with the new ownership and changes that have been made. Take a stab at any and all specials--these are continually the big winners whether it's chicken, pasta or a lamb dish. They're all wonderfully robust and full of intricate yet pleasant flavors. Arrive a little early and ... read more

Wonderful from start to finish – We tried the polenta appetizer and it was delicious. Delicate textures and harmonizing flavors were present in all the dishes. I tried the daily risotto (a sweet corn and crab mixture) and it was fabulous. My guest tried the linguini and was truly impressed. The real treat was the dessert - I definitely recommend the warm chocolate tart (with vanilla bean gazpacho and raspberry sauce). The entire dinner was absolutely wonderful and worth the price!

Little taste and slow service – Really, the food was mediocre at best. I had the crispy chicken. The sauce was plain--not much flavor. Kind of a watered-down tomato paste served on some noodles. Appetizers were ok--nothing that special--a little disappointing. But, hey, if you like to pay high-prices, this is your place. Desserts were good, though. Our waiter was average, but getting our food took way too long. I don't know who's fault that is. We finally got out of there two-half hours later. I dreaded our party ordering de... read more

A taste of italy! – Great setting and great service! Reserve your seats for indoors, and in the summer find a nice spot on the patio. The italian foods, breads, etc. will really pleasure your palate. Bring your special date here to impress and romance. Remember to order the great tasting desserts. I reccommend the chocolate bread pudding! Mmmmm...tasty!

Quality from the start = excellence – Any chef's cooking will suffer without quality ingredients. Thankfully, the quality of ingredients here is above reproach. From the fresh baked bread, to high quality of the balsamic vinegar, or the fresh asiago, every single item in these dishes superb. When these came together, every morsel was a delight to the senses. Using ingredients of this caliber is expensive, and you can easily appreciate the reasons for the higher price tag. This is by far the best Italian dining in Utah. I kno... read more

A distinctive interpretation of northern Italian fare in a quaint, neighborhood setting. – The Scene In warmer months, the candlelit patio is a lovely setting for the delicious food. The rustic, Italianate dining room can seem crowded, but the well-synchronized, intelligent staff readily compensates. The Food The kitchen gracefully manages an American take on Italian cuisine, adding fresh herbs and seasonal ingredients to lightly accent sauces and dressings. Veal entrees and fresh fish specials are generally fine, but the te... read more

Never Disappoints – Great atmosphere, terrific food and kind staff. On mother's day they presented all mom's with a bouquet of flowers. Nice touch. Keep it up Fresco.
