so not recommended!!!!!!!! – What is all the hype? After moving here from New York, a friend told me about Frenchys. At first, the front desk staff was too busy talking to each other. My appointment was 25 minutes' late. The two woman doing pedicures were speaking in a foreign language. (how do I know they were not talking about me) Parking was horrible, and I felt like I was at a strip mall. FYI: Shabby Chic is out! I suppose I' will keep shopping around.
A great, not excellent, experience – I've been getting pedi's at Frenchy's for a couple of months now. I was aprehensive at first after reading the reviews on this site, but I'd gotten many recommendations and am new to the area, so I thought I'd give it a shot. They do a great job, and I have no complaints. Yes, the girls at the front desk are a little standoff-ish, but they're only receptionists. For pedi's, ask for Kathy - she's great! Oh, and look out for the cosmetic lady trying to give you a makeover and sell you stuff... read more
Wonderful place, wonderful service – I live in New York and recently visited friends in Seattle. They suggested that I go to Frenchy's for a manicure and pedicure, and I'm so glad I did. The pedicure was the best I've ever had, and it was such a treat to sink into the big leather chairs with my cup of coffee. I was also impressed by their attention to hygene - the disposable trays in the foot-soaking tubs are a feature that all spas should have. Frenchy's will be my first stop the next time I'm in Seattle.
Frenchy's cheesy name and cheesy place – Both receptionists lacked any professional customer service. They did not greet anyone with a smile, nor did they offer any beverages to any customers. When asked if there was a manager on the premise, they snootily replied "no", then returned to the conversation between the two. The manicurist was fine, but wasn't stellar. She rushed my manicure and my french polish started cracking the very next day.
Over Rated – I got a gift certificate for a massage at Frenchy's. I was so excited to try something new and I was delighted when i arrived because the salon is very cute. However, my message was the worst ever. The masseuse was not very skilled. She touched me so lightly, like she was tickling me, it was SO Frustrating. I decided to get a manicure too - it was ho-hum. I could have paid $20 less for the same thing at walk-in nail salon.
Laura is the best!!! – I have been going to Frenchy's for 2 years for a pedicure. Laura is the best person that I have ever encountered. She is so careful, and the polish stays on forever. The massage is sooo relaxing. I really enjoy the casual atmoshere. I find the service to be tops and I've been to many other spas. The prices are more than fair. I highly recommend Frenchys!!! The only con is the parking. Yikes, it can be really hard to find a spot.
A bargain- but low customer service – I brought a friend here so that we could both get pedicures and have had manicures here for about a year. One thing that they do well is a lasting manicure. They last much longer than those I've had elsewhere and I like the decor - kind of funky if you go in for a shabby/cute look. However, I'll agree with others that the scheduling isn't great and that the customer service is very unpolished. It would be nice if they greeted you and treated you like you were at a spa, but no suck luck.
Scheduling Nightmare – Getting a Manicure, Pedicure at Frenchies is nice but.... scheduling is a nightmare and hardly makes it worth it. If you can get through on the phone (they often put you on hold or worse you're directed to leave a message and they will call you back?) you will likely get one of the very snotty receptionists that always seem to be put out by something. They rarely smile, they don't look at you and they usually just talk to each other while they take your money. They don't seem to have a computer for sch... read more
Stick with Frenchy's – Frenchy's may not be the Day Spa that you might expect, but the services they do have are first-rate. Many of the manicurists and pedicurists will work overtime on you and most of the staff is friendly. I've also had really great massages, and the newest manager, Joanne, really knows how to run the place. Parking can be tight in the garage, but I usually do okay, and the products they sell are great! I've seen the same products elsewhere for higher prices, so I always pick something up at Frenchy's whe... read more
