Frenchy's is our first stop when we come to the beach! We've come there every spring since it opened in the eighties or nineties!! We love it! The grouper cheeks, fries, mussels, clams and shrimp...all delicious!
Every time I visit Clearwater I have to eat a Frenchy's the best seafood in Florida. Great wait staff, no complaints from this NC visitor😃
Service was terrible, which I could have overlooked in favor of a good meal...unfortunately I found neither available at the Original Frenchy's, on CLWR Beach this Easter Saturday. I was a regular when I lived in CLWR 24 years ago, but I've been back periodically over the years, and still enjoyed it until my most recent visit. So much has changed.
Grouper sandwiches are incredible. We started with garlic fries topped with crab - unusual, but quite tasty. Margaritas were drink special at $3! Fun and casual atmosphere.
After a walk along the beach at sunset this was the perfect destination for a cold local brew and one of the best Grouper sandwiches around - the 1/2 pound of boiled shrimp was a tasty starter ... not at all fancy but certainly family friendly (daughter enjoyed the chicken strips).
