About this business

Once an industrial complex for the fledgling United States of America, today French Creek State Park is an oasis for people and wildlife. Straddling the Schuylkill Highlands, the 7,730-acre park is the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington D.C. and New York City. The forests, lakes, wetlands and fields are a destination for the people of southeast Pennsylvania to hike, fish, camp and bike.

I love coming here with my son. The wood Bridge while riding around Scotts run lake. Needs guard rails, I slipped of the bridge into the creek. I wasn't hurt, just wet.

The winter experience in loop c was the worst since I have camped here in the past 19 years. Empty toilet paper in the bathrooms, the showers were muddy, no hiking maps in the camp entrance or park office and even the bathrooms at the park office had no toilet paper. Maintenance is quite lacking especially during the winter months. There is also a lot of standing dead trees that should be removed in the campground. I used to really enjoy this place, but it is pretty much a dump these days.

One of my favorite PA state parks. Can't go wrong here for hiking, camping or getting a little history lesson.

Always a great place to stretch the dogs legs, several trail options, also the option to let them swim in the lake. Summer can be crowded but you can avoid it.
