A deeply disappointing and, in my view, ableist and discriminatory experience. The business owner was unable or unwilling to support a young disabled man to access the swimming facilities. Throughout the process, he also repeatedly referred to the person’s support workers by their race, which was completely inappropriate. Will miss this hidden gem so much! I lost 10kg body fat here. Honestly, the hardest part of leaving the CBD due to my relocation is saying goodbye to Freedom Fitness. It is easily the best gym in Adelaide. It’s small but beautifully cozy, and having half a swim lane to myself with zero disturbance was a luxury. The members are high-quality, and the owner and staff are incredibly amazing people. The new recovery area is amazing, it’s all you need to recover after a long session. Sauna and ice bath combo it’s lovely.
A well equipped gym run by an amazing owner. Felt right at home even as I was visiting from another country.
