I bought a GE "Over The Stove" microwave with the additional Fred's 5 year warranty. Fred's is having a "Black Friday" sale all month. We got a great deal and the cost plus the 5 year Fred's warranty cost less than their regular price for the microwave alone. Cool. I picked it up and installed it my self. The install would have been harder except for the wall bracket already installed from the two year old (from Fred's) unit that broke with no extended warranty. Brand new washer and dryer. Week to get delivery. Dryer didn't work . service in another week and if it needs parts another week . just like Vans . they lie to get you to buy. Then u wait . will never buy anything from Fred's again. You can get better service from Lowes

We apologize for your experience. The call this morning said that the dryer was working but making a noise that may or may not be an issue. Did something change? The delay in delivery is due to distance from town. We do not deliver every direction out of town every day, but understand the inconvenience.
13 months into my new Speed Queen dryer it failed. A week after starting service call it is still down, waiting on parts. However this is literally the only model of dryer Speed Queen makes. How do you not have parts? Maybe it will get fixed Monday.. we are going into our second weekend of it being down. Laundry is backing up. On top of that, the communication is terrible. I have to call them to get updates, even to get the original news they needed parts.. they didn't tell me.. just left the house with the drier still dead.... read more
Had great service from Susan, and we're in LOVE with our new Bosch dishwasher. She took the time to thoroughly explain the difference between the available models, and even made herself available after our purchase to answer questions about the best way to load it!
Went to buy a freezer, was helped by Kelly. He told me they price matched with anyone in town. Went to Best Buy found the same exact freezer for less with free delivery. Went back to Fred's gave them a copy of the quote and they wouldn't honor the same price with free delivery. Needless to say I won't be doing business with Fred's Appliance.
I don't think Rick likes Fred's much at all. He's totally fed up dealing with them about the very expensive kichen range he bought last February that has never worked right and still doesn't. Based on his experience I'll never shop at Fred's. Rick is my next door neighbor. FB just posted that Rick "likes" Fred's. Rick told me yesterday he's ready to call KPAX so they can film him dumping his range out of hs truck onto the road in front of Fred's store.
