I've been a customer for many years but I am rethinking my place of shopping. Nothing good has come of the Fred Meyers..long lines, higher prices, clerk ourselves, fees for cash back...bye bye Freddys.
So disappointed to be charged .50 for cash back while purchasing a substantial amount of groceries. So much for one stop shop.
This store has the worst employees and I'm not talking about there work. I'm talking about as human beings. The kinda people that would lie to your face and think its ok.
Any business that declares themselves gun free makes targets of their customers. I will not be a target.
They have EVERYTHING. Great, friendly service and now totally remodeled and even more customer friendly.
Your lack of open check out lanes with this remodel is horrible customer service. Families with a full cart of groceries do not want to use self check out, its only handy when you are buying just a few items. Its the week of 4th of july and today late morning/early afternoon you only had 4 regular check out lanes open in grocery. With carts stacked in line and lines at self check out. The new design for the check stands was poorly thought out. The new check stands have been designed so that checkers cannot easily access the heavy items left in the carts. Before all they had to do is maybe take one step (if that) to reach down and scan the large items left in the cart. Now they have to completely step away from their till, walk around the check stand with their cordless scanner to access the customers cart, and then go back around to finish the transaction. My friend visits Fred's often. She has a 5 year old little boy with down Syndrome. He was so excited to go into playland. So his mom was going to take him. there were only 2 other kids in the play area. He's a busy guy but no behavior issues. he is nonverbal but understands everything. he knows sign language. he is an amazing child.
