I left and spent my $100+ at Joann Fabrics. My mother and I are on vacation in Carolina Beach this week and was visiting Fran's on Monday, 9/29, for fabric and quilting supplies. Walked in, got a quick "hello" and my mom had to approach whom I believe was Fran (based on the website's staff listing and picture) and asked a few question, only to get a head shake indicating "no". I live in Chapel Hill and it is well worth the drive to purchase sewing machines and accessories at Fran’s Sewing Circle. In addition, I also purchase all recommended supplies for whatever project I am undertaking. . I have called the shop with small issues (pilot error,) and I can ALWAYS receive help from Fran herself!
Very professional and friendly staff. Wonderful samples. I go here for attitude adjustment.
Just walking in, you feel like you're at a friend's house. The one with all the cool stuff and she knows everything about your hobby. Even if you haven't ever picked up a needle, you'll want to get started on something.

I have had so many good experiences at Fran's over the past few years. The range of classes is exceptional covering quilting, embroidery, sewing, software, etc. The cloth is great quality and beautiful. The staff is both knowledgeable and supportive. I have had great support from Fran regarding a floor model machine I purchased. It is one of my happy places.
