I showed up for my 4pm appointment yesterday. The office door was locked, so I call the office. The afterhours service tells me the office closed at 230p and they don't take messages so I can't speak to anyone nor leave a message. If I had missed my appointment or was late, they'd have charged me $50. I took off of work to go to this appointment. My visit with Dr.Frankel left me feeling judged and embarrassed for seeking help for stomach issues I had been experiencing for almost a year. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's appointment. After taking prescribed medications to address severe GERD, I was looking to get some advise from a doctor so I could eventually get off medications that have unwanted side effects if taken long term. I am trying to get in touch with the office for 2 days. I have been a patient for many years and need a procedure, but can't get to speak with anyone. The phone message says the office is closed. Doesn't say why or for how long.

I was a patient of this office for several years. I had not been there in a few years due to surgeries related to my crohns disease (which also rendered me homeless due to the inability to work). I made a follow-up appointment, showed up, and then was told that the doctor discharged me for a previous balance and cannot see me. Why make the appointment last month, and then wait to tell me after I report for my appointment? I could have paid for it on the spot, but it was a blessing in disquise. The office was TERRIBLE!!! Office staff rude, uninterested, an hour behind, bad attitudes, office dirty, smelly run down. No way i would allow this doctor to treat me, or anyone i care about. Horrible!!!!!

Having my HPN insurance card in my hands, I was denied by the doctor’s, Desha A. Frankel, office the medical care because I had refused to provide my SSN, which I am not obliged to do so by the law of Nevada. Nowadays, most health insurers don’t use SSN to identify you, so I don’t see any need for that information to be collected and retained by a health care provider and I don’t want it to be due to a data breach risk.

Office staff was unprofessional, disorganized and not even nice. Went for a consult to refer for routine procedure, Simple, right? Appointment time was messed up, They never sent paper work.. Arrived an hour ahead and still waited over 30 minutes beyond my appointment time, They asked for payment twice and wanted to charge $50 to change the procedure apt. over one month in advance. I can't even imagine how messed up billing will be. I cancelled procedure. Will not go back
