I have known Dan since we were kids growing up in beechview. Kudos to you for the outstanding food and service you gave my family tonight. Your place is far more than your average pizza shop. Everything was outstanding, we will be back very soon. I will gladly spread the word. Best meatball I have ever had.
Together with my very energetic 22 month old son and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dinner! Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was truly welcoming! We had a blast!!! I highly recommend Franco's for a great family dinner out (or even date night!). :-)
Our family has been here twice recently and we have never received better service anywhere. The food is top notch and I dare you to find a better tasting pizza anywhere! You are treated like family from the moment you walk in until you leave. We have a 2 year old and a 1 month old, "Mama" came out of the kitchen and sat with both boys, our little one was a little fussy and she even offered to hold him so we could eat. So I had THE BEST pizza I have had in my life this evening at Franco's in Castle Shannon. Usually I don't post stuff like this but it is such a hidden gem and I feel like they really don't get enough traffic. They treated my kids like gold (the owner personally got my daughter a high chair for my daughter's two dolls and then complimented her on being such a good mother :). Best Italian cuisine in Pittsburgh. No contest. The staff makes you feel like family.
Visited Franco's for the first time. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Super friendly staff and clean. Orders a plain cheese pie and what a surprise with the first bite! A savory sauce! Not the tired old sweet sauce that almost every pizza shop in Pittsburgh uses. The crust was equally good and crispy. This will be on my 'go to' list!!
