Thyroid patients with complex absorption issues, conversion issues or sensitivities may be better seeing a thyroidologist. The internist providers usually dont take insurance due to the way billing, patient scheduling, and diagnostics are preformed differently. Endocrinologists are probably great for diabetes mgmt and some other endocrin problems. I suggest thyroid patients who need NDT be evaluated first by a specializing physician in with thyroid interests and experience

I’m sharing this review based on a billing experience, not the medical care itself. After a single endocrinology visit, I received two separate bills with two different office visit CPT codes (99204 and 99212) for the same date of service. Insurance covered one and denied the other, leaving me responsible for a charge that appeared to be duplicate billing. I have a very serious rare Hypoglycemic condition, Dr Hancock is a very caring doctor. He takes time to ask questions and listens to your responses!

Takes months to get an appointment. If on waiting list, won't let you have an appointment if they say you need a 40 minute appointment and not a 20 minute appointment. Get text, act fast, first reply, first served. I'm there to see a specialist not a nurse practitioner especially on 1st appointment. Copay should be less to see NP but isn't.
