Our 30 min wait turned into 3 min and they were very polite and patient explaining menu items. We had two kids and lots of coats and they brought us our own coat rack! The hamburgers come stacked with picked stuff which killed it for me since it's not in the description. The potatoes and the short rib and the chicken waffles were all excellent though. Hamburgers could use some work, though.
This is my favorite place to eat in the District. I order the fried green tomatoes and the pot roast every time! Then I share bites with the people who've come with me just to try more wonderful dishes. It is expensive and there is usually a 2 hour wait (make a reservation - still wait but it's faster), but it's so good it's totally worth it!
We booked on line, a table for 4. Got a spot for 8pm. We approached the Maitre D' at 8.20 and told we were next. We then watched the manager take menus from her hand and usher a group in from outside. This happened twice. My wife challenged the girl and she admitted the manager had taken our table twice. We were disgusted and thought his actions were reprehensible. We'll never return

Loved the food and atmosphere. Walked in during the lunch crowd. The wait time was less then expected. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Everything from food to drinks were exceptional! I will definitely refer friends and return!

I always enjoy dining at this place. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the different drinks and asked me what I have a taste for. The food is always great no matter if it's brunch or dinner.
Fantastic. From the atmosphere to the dessert and everything in between. Had the prosciutto bread, glazed salmon and apple pie the first night. Probably in the top 5 meals I have ever had. Went downstairs and made reservations for the next night. Next night was cornbread, the apple, ham and pea mac and cheese, and a milkshake. Again, outstanding. Thankfully I don't leave near founding farmers, or I would be enormous.
