Some addicts have been beaten so badly into addiction that they need guidance, care, and re-introduction to abstinent living. I know I needed Forward Recovery. I know that Forward saved my life by helping me get the self-esteem and coping skills necessary to be introduced back into twelve step recovery effectively. I tried without treatment.
