DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH It was several years inbetween visits to Fortuna's. I don't know why we waited so long. A family dinner in Feb. was fantastic. The Veal Parm is to die for and the portion is enough for 2 possibly 3 meals. My other 3 dining partners were equally thrilled with their choices; steak, baked fish, and fish fry. Would definately recommend this restaurant in the middle of Niagara Falls.
Mixed experiences We have been to this restaurant over the years several times and it has been hit or miss. This is definitely not a restaurant for children as it is more upscale. You will get better service on a non-holiday rather than going on a day like Mother's day when they will be swamped and you will get no service. Several years ago we took a small child to this place and they were very nice to her and handed her toys to keep her occupied.
My favorite restaurant I have been going to Fortunas Restaurant for more than 47 years. It was the first restaurant my husband and I went to after returning home in NF from our honeymoon. Their Veal Parmegean is the best anywhere and the service and ambiance superb.
Authentic best ever veal!!! – I have tried MANY different places, but continue to come back for the veal parmagiana here at Fortuna's. It is simply the best. The veal is tender and pounded out very thin to enhance the two slices you get. I like their house salad dressing also as it is reminds me of homemade vinaigrette made with olive oil. Great Atmosphere and Great Time Have been to Fortuna's several times and had a great experience each time. Very quaint setting that's great for both business gatherings and romantic meals for two. Not a great place to bring kids as it's not really a "family" restaurant, but it's not intended to be. Crayons are available from home or at swanky joints like Denny's.
Poor service – Upon making the reservation for a Friday night, I explained this was my first visit and taking my boyfriend out for dinner for his birthday, and Italian food is his favorite. We were seated immediately and that was where the service stopped. It was very busy, but our waitress did not show up at our table to even get us drinks until I went to the hostess after waiting 15 minutes. Simply The Best Italian Food, Location, Background Music, – Alllllllll Italian !!! Slightly out of the way but adds to the ambiance in heart of Niaga Falls' little italy !!1
HORRID to say the least We went to dinner at Fortunas and to say the least the experience was horrible!! I ordered a chicken dinner and I was expecting boneless chicken and they came out with chicken that had bones in it. The macaroni stuck together and was just down right disgusting!! We had a 3 year old child with us and the atmosphere was too smug for him to be able to enjoy himself. No crayons or anything!! HORRID!! The place is very attractive to look at.
