Upon renting my house I gave a list of repairs. I have been here 4 months now and am still waiting for repairs. When my furnace broke the maintenance guy yelled at me and blamed me. I have repaired my toilet and sink myself because I didn't want mold. I also moved in with a very overgrown tree with the promise of getting it trimmed. It has now dropped so many large branches that I don't dare let my kids play in the backyard. Very unreliable. It seems they don't care about the condition of their properties.
Our family started renting with Fortress in March of 2015. We were going to wait until we moved to describe our experiences with the company and maintenance, but the building we live in is now under new ownership and new management. My family rented with Fortress for a little over 4 years. The building we live in was just sold, and we are under new management, so I feel it's safe for me to go into detail about how negative the experience renting through this company has been. Last summer, the main water line needed to be replaced. I'm not impressed. My family members apartment sprung a leak in both the kitchen and bedroom. The ceiling collapsed and they have been using their garbage can to collect the water which fills every 3 hours. Their kitchen floor is soggy now. They have to replace there matress now. Maintenance turned the water off the following day and said they would try to make it out the next day. There is what appears mold by the water pipes from a slow leak. Inhabitable unit and no urgency on management's end.
