Don't go to this office if you expect quality Perimenopausal care. I was offered the BC pill, then an anti-depressant, followed by an anti-convulsant. For hormone issues. WHAT??? There is a reason why women my age are frustrated with quality of care we are receiving. I left in tears and won't go back.
My experience here was horrible. I voiced my very valid concerns and was not listened to and was in fact made to feel dumb for being worried about it. Will be transferring doctors immediately.
The doctor seems nice and I hope she continues to help me well. The nurse (Judy) and the nurse manager (Debra), on the other hand, are not good. I was taking a birth control tapper and was having severe nausea that the nausea medication prescribed was not helping. I needed help with what options I had for nausea and I needed to know what I could do to take my birth control differently so I wasn't so miserable. I couldn't eat or get out of bed. Found out I was pregnant Monday 8/14 and was out of state and had a miscarriage on Friday 8/18 the emergency room doctor told me I needed to get my hCG leveles checked till they go down to zero and I'll need a exam done to make sure everything passed. So this Monday 8/21 I have been calling and calling and have been given the run around they are saying I can't schedule an appointment it's emergency appointments only and they put me through to the nurses station where I have to leave a voice mail and no one calls me back.
