I'm from Seattle and whenever I'm in the north coast area I make a point of spending some time at Fort George. The beer selection is bold, varied, original, and delicious. The cuisine is fresh, hearty, and satisfying. Service is warm and friendly. Free live music and discussions only add to the appeal. Don't miss out on Fort George!

My family loves this place. This is our first stop when we visit Astoria. Great service along with great beer and food along with all the historical significance makes it one of our favorite places.

Kathleen added us to the wait list. We went to the tap room and the selection of different beers and Logan’s knowledge of the beers was amazing. Phone text when our table was ready-loved climbing the spiral staircase! Finn made menu suggestions-again very knowledgeable about the restaurants offerings. The Wha? Salad with grilled tuna was so yummy. Pork belly appetizer was as good as a dessert. Creme brûlée was our real dessert and was rich and velvety. Going again soon!!!

The view was great. But we waited an hour for appetizers. Service was way too slow. Go for just a beer and you won't be disappointed.

So it was a bit of a wait for a table of which they ask for a phone number for waiting so they can contact you when something becomes available which is a little odd. Even though it was said that it would be about 45 minute wait, a table became available via text message just a few minutes later. We didn’t eat meals there but did have some chips, guacamole, and salsa of which were very good! And last but not least we got 2 sampler trays of a total of 8 of their beers of which were incredible! Definitely recommend their beers... read more

Too many folks complain about Fort George food and service. Some pompous people seem to perceive servers in general as their lackeys. Fort George staffers do nice jobs. Cranks who sniff they wll go elsewhere because of claimed service slights there leave more table room for folks who have experienced lesser alternatives to Fort George in the metropolitans of Portland, Tacoma and Seattle and know a good thing going and happening with Fort George when they visit Astoria. Fort George is synonymous with a great expeirence. Res i... read more
