About this business

Introducing the diners to the ancient Italian recipes in Pleasanton is the energetic chef Nicole Skillings, who belongs to the restaurant Forno Vecchio. Housed within a restored structure, the restaurant exudes an old world charm. Once you settle down, you can order for the homemade ricotta gnocchi with the Milanese specialty Ossobucco. The service and food overall was great with the exception of the bread and dipping oil at the beginning of the meal. Definitely a place to visit again!!!!

Forno Vecchio in Italian means Old Stove, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in the East Bay. Large portions and my favorite is the Fettucini with the Ragu Beef and Pork sauce. It's to die for. 2nd favorite is the rack of lamb. I get one of the other every time.

The best Italian food in the Tri-Valley. The food is fresh and the pasta is made there. A pleasing atmosphere with a very friendly and attentive staff.

Good service, I had the Calabrian Shrimp Risotto, was awesome, hubby had the Fettuccine Bolognese, he said it was so so.....bread they give you at the beginning was terrible...no flavor in the bread or dipping, bread was almost like a pound cake but not sweet.....:(
