Mindi, her husband, and the entire maintenance team at Forest Oaks are gems. They’ve done a fantastic job with the renovated apartment units and their maintenance team is always respectful and prompt with attending to maintenance tickets. We had one maintenance wait that was kind of long (one week), but it was due to parts and the wait was still reasonable. Was told I’d get an application and then got ignored and never got a response ever again and my calls have been ignored for hours now. Seems like an underlying theme is poor communication with the lady answering the phones so a simple solution, hire new staff?
Absolutely horrible. Management sucks. Nothing ever gets fits even after SEVERAL maintenance requests (along with calling and emailing everyday to get stuff fixed). The “office manager” Mindi will quite literally ignore your emails and calls. I only know she ignored my emails because her husband called and said he didn’t like the tone we used in our emails stating if the BLACK MOLD wasn’t addressed in an appropriate manner we’d be having our own company to come fix it along with our a/c not working. Today is September 14th, which is 45 days from July 31st. I have not received any communication from the property regarding my security deposit. My experience living in this property for a year was not the worst, but I had to deal with several issues throughout my time here. However, I simply wanted to move on and forget about it without leaving this review. If you decide to live here, be prepared for very challenging communication with the manager when issues arise. Leaving a review so others know our experience. One time the AC went out on one of the hottest weekends in july last year and management was very passive aggressive about maintenance having to fix this a couple days later. It was miserable and we had animals as well who were hot from having no AC. Communication with management was horrible. Management was also very rude when something needed fixed in apartment.
