We arrived at 7:00pm were told there was a 30 minute wait so we stayed. By 7:45 still waiting, had to order $35 in Apps & drinks, four hungry kids. 8pm checked with the host she said two more tables to seat then us. Watched six more groups be seated. 8:30pm still not seated but too late to leave & go elsewhere. Complained to bar, said they'd check. 9:00pm decided to order pizzas at bar. 9:15pm our table becomes available the same time our pizza comes out. I'm not in Des Moines as often as I'd like. When I'm there, there are a few restaurants I zero-in on; one of them is Fong's. The inside of Fong's looks like a Chinese Restaurant circa 1965. The menu is Italian-American favorites (mostly Pizza), but many items have a Chinese twist -\-\ examples: Crab Rangoon Pizza and Egg Rolls stuffed with Italian Sausage, pepperoni, and cheese with marinara for dipping. Bring back the doctor Fong you yayhoos. Not everyone wants a super fruity drink. I was annoyed that you took it off the menu but until tonight the bartender would still make it for me.

Hi Kyle, that drink can always still be made for you upon request with similar ingredients. It has Amaretto, Vanilla Vodka, Dr. Pepper and grenadine. We have quite a few drinks that are no longer fruity but the Dr. Fong was removed due to low sales. All of the drinks located towards the bottom of our tiki menu are not fruity and more boozy.
