I always take out-of-town guests to Fonda, and my colleague from Missouri joined me this evening. Appreciated the great waiters serving me a delicious happy hour white wine (Portuguese blend) while I waited for my friend to arrive. I always have the enchilada Suizas and they were again excellent. Very good food, service, and the drinks are excellent!
My wife has been coming here for years and was always meeting friends there when she'd be visiting in Austin. We were in town and I insisted she take me. I was blown away. The duck enchiladas with the spinach sauce was crazy good. She had tacos al pastor and they were also fantastic. Highly recommend Angels on Horseback for an appetizer and the house margarita. The ambience and artwork are worth the visit. You won't be disappointed.
I didn’t find out about your Tuesday happy hour until recently. I’m not sure how I missed it this long since I’ve had a couple of birthday parties and many brunches there. The food was great as usual. I ordered the queso on the grill and the lamb chops. I’ll definitely be back for more happy hours. I’ll allow my self the splurge even if it is on a Tuesday.
Surrounded by amazing art work, we enjoyed a variety of traditional & ancient recipes presented in an exciting yet approachable way for their Sunday Brunch.
