One chronic blood cancer is called myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN). It is uncommon and mostly in the older population but also younger people develop the mutated gene(s). Polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, bone marrow fibrosis, and increased risk of leukemia are part of MPN. My father passed from a very long battle with cancer on December 07, 2010. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff from the Florida Cancer Specialist right here in Fort Myers were so amazing i cant even put into words. Their compassion, professionalism and down right family atmosphere is something that could be never forgotten. After my dads passing, i sent them a picture of me and my brothers, along with his grandkids taken at Thanksgiving 2009, and wrote them a thank you letter for everything they did for my father and his family.
