what a terrible experience every time I wish the state would step in and fix this place. besides the fact it takes many weeks to get any help on phone when you do finally talk to a person they give you wrong information! every single time without failing i get wrong info no one knows anything. It is terrible to get a degree to supposedly be in a professional field but rather work in fast food than deal with these people.
To be blunt, I am unsure why any of the people in this office are employed. I almost believe there are no members or employees as they have never answered me once. I have never once after calling multiple times daily received an answer from the board. And any time I have been answered after over hour long waits on the phone from the general receptionist for all the boards/customer service, they provide no answers, inaccurate information, and no true help or guidance. Called in because I still was not updated on the status of my application. They told me my transcripts were still not in the system after ONE month. Told me I should email them because the transcipts can take 21days to process (it's been over 21 days) or they lose them. I told them I would've emailed them it had they not told me to mail them earlier ($55 for mail vs $15 for email). If I could give 0 stars, I would. The Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. For over two weeks, I have been trying to get in touch with someone, spending more than 10 hours collectively on hold without ever reaching a live person. I have also sent four separate emails and received no response whatsoever. On top of that, I continue to receive “deficiency letters” claiming that my transcripts have not been received.
