Called in because I still was not updated on the status of my application. They told me my transcripts were still not in the system after ONE month. Told me I should email them because the transcipts can take 21days to process (it's been over 21 days) or they lose them. I told them I would've emailed them it had they not told me to mail them earlier ($55 for mail vs $15 for email). If I could give 0 stars, I would. The Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. For over two weeks, I have been trying to get in touch with someone, spending more than 10 hours collectively on hold without ever reaching a live person. I have also sent four separate emails and received no response whatsoever. On top of that, I continue to receive “deficiency letters” claiming that my transcripts have not been received. Update: Despite having ALL documents required in their possession and numerous phone calls to confirm documents were received the board is extremely slow to process licenses. Instructions to submit paperwork/documents is unclear compared to other states which results in unneeded back and forth and a waste of time for everyone involved. It’s just crazy to me how impossible it is to get someone on the phone. What a “great” use of our tax dollars. I’ve had transcripts sent electronically TWICE yet the website is still showing they are deficient. This is ridiculous and I will be seeking further action regarding this disgrace.
