A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. It’s no secret I love this place! I eat here as often as I can! Great menu, great vibes. Shrimp and grits here is in my top 2 favorite of the city
I always leave a star, for improvement. That being said, everything was great! Laid back, right on the water. Service, great. Food, great. Apnisphire, great. The building has some cool history about it, too. From my table in the middle of the restaurant I was able to spot a couple of dolphin swimming in the cove. The staff told me that there is a lone manatee that hangs out out there, a certain time of year. I’ll be back, with my family.
I have been to your restaurant many, many times and have always loved the food. This time, I could barely eat it. Only ate about half if that much because I was hungry. The service was excellent as always, but the food was terrible. I usually put salt on my food after tasting it, but everything on my plate tasted like they just opened the top of a salt shaker and poured it on everything. Today we had our 3rd visit to Fleet Landing. The location and view, and obviously the food, just can't be beat. But all three times we really lucked out! The 2 servers we will enjoy requesting by name, Kaitlin and James. You both make our visits here an experience to smile about!
An great meal at a very reasonable price. This is a must stop on your trip to Charleston! The flounder was to die for... the hush puppies ummm ummm!! My husband had the herb baked cod... GREAT!! A definite 5 on the delicious scale!

Thank you to all of the staff that welcomed my sister's birthday party of 10! The hostess/waiter staff was very helpful with helping me with all the extra special decor for my sister's table this evening. Stopped in for lunch walked right in no wait at all. I had salmon and gumbo wife had crab cakes everything was excellent prepared perfectly. Best of all was our waitress Brittany she ROCKS very knowledgeable of menu items answered all our questions about what we needed to know to make our food selections. Not knowing Charleston very well she also spent extra time with us describing things to do during our visit. Best lunch and conversation with someone that loves her job and where she lives
