A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. He opened this one-story, nautical-themed restaurant with Chef Drew Hedlund, whose menu includes classic and contemporary Southern fare, with an emphasis on seafood. Blue Plate lunch specials are offered daily as well as a children's menu. The interior furnishings are casu... read more

Awesome meal, awesome service, and awesome atmosphere!
Always like this place. Nice to have afternoon cocktails on the deck watching the sunset and sailboats.
The food and cocktails , atmosphere, and service were superb. It’s very pricey, but other than that we enjoyed it and would return.
Super courteous staff; wonderful food! Appetizer crab cake to die for; mahi-mahi was light and flaky.
I came here with my girlfriends before my bachelorette party. We were sat in the back with an amazing view. The first thing I notice after we got our drinks- PAPER STRAWS!! I work with sea turtles and teach about marine science and it made me ecstatic to see paper straws in everyone’s drink. So impressed and excited that a popular restaurant understands the importance of limiting single-use plastic. It makes me think they care about more environmental issues as well. Love this!! So glad you enjoyed everything, and we have to give props to Surfrider Foundation Charleston Chapter and South Carolina Aquarium for their efforts in the strawless programs here in Charleston. Thanks for coming in, and congratulations!! 💍
Wait staff was fantastic, oysters were so fresh. I would totally eat here again.
Over 3 hours from the time I walked up to put our name up until our food came. Was told an hour wait, and a after an hour had passed, we questioned the hostess about it. She tried to lie about what she previously said and changed it to 1.5 hours and had a pretty piss poor attitude about it. Having said that, other than the hostess and the wait, our server did great and it was pretty good food but not worth 100.00 and 3 hours+ of my life.
It was the first there. It took 1 hour 45 minutes to get in and over an hour to get our food. The restaurant was cold. BUT...every one LOVED the food. Hostess was a smart ellic to my daughter-n-law. Would I go back....yes. They have GREAT little biscuits to nibble on too.
Loved the views, drinks and food! We had a great server who recommended a few of their dishes, which we ended trying one of his recommendations and it was delicious! (Shrimp with grits)
