I worked with them for a number of years. I no longer work here but work with a different mortgage company, same job title. I get paid more than Flat Branch paid me and the job now is far less stressful. When comparing, they say they're team-work oriented but they really expect you to do your workload on your own. The leadership is very prideful and snotty. The profit share was good, along with a handful of employees.
My wife and I made a payment on April 7, 2022 to Flat Branch for our house payment. (see attached) for confirmation email. Flat Branch did not try to process the payment until April 18 and 19 and due to emergency surgery (April 11) on my part, the payment was then returned due to inefficient funds at my bank due to the medical reasons. I want to say just how ridiculous it was working with Flat Branch Home loans. They denied approval because I am self-employed. I own a marketing agency which is a digital business meaning I can do work anywhere. They didn't approve my home loan because they said the majority of my business wasn't in the state in which my wife and I wanted to relocate to. Ridiculous, I have the income to qualify and down payment as well as great credit scores as well. Don't get drug through their process, because it's one with stipulation.
Adam Swenka and his team of Rachel and Matt were amazing! They showed me such patience and grace through the whole process. They kept me very informed via email, text, or call...whatever was appropriate for the subject. The Flat Branch Website keeps you and your realtor informed through each stage. I cannot say enough good things about this team. Highly recommend!
