Five County Credit Union has become far worse over the almost 10 years I have been with them. For any small loan I apply for I get denied because of some minor things on my credit report from few years back that I have corrected. A year ago I went to get a car loan and as a Customer of 10 years they offered me 18% which is unacceptable. I went down the Road to First Federal Savings in Bath and got a car loan for 5%. RecommendedI always recommend fccu until recently. i refered my son for a loan and the process was unacceptable and involved 5 different people over several days, wrong information, lost paper work etc. 5 days to close a loan you were preapproved for is not okay. try to speak to a supervisor and am told no one is in charge of loans. when finally spoke to VP she was very cold and didn't really care that there was significant issues. recently had to dispute a credit card charge was given wrong info by two people. there was no follow up b... read more
HEADS UP! You WILL NOT be able to deposit online for at least 6 months in this rural credit union. Their policy is to assume you are a criminal performing fraud. Once 6 months have lapsed (and low and behold YOU ARE NOT A CRIMINAL) you will become a full citizen at their CU with full rights to use all of their services offered. They're snitty about it too. 👎🏼 Rotten Tomatoes! It turns out that keeping my longstanding and far, far away Boeing CU account is ACTUALLY more convenient!
We went to the Windham Walmart branch tonight because My 6 year old daughter raised 16$ for cheering on her own and had to get it broken down into dimes for this specific fundraiser. My 8 year old daughter accompanied her to the counter and the girls were already a bit nervous, but it’s important to learn self help skills so I encouraged them to go, thinking it would be a positive experience. The service is above and beyond in Windham Maine. They all have been so nice and helpful! Highly recommend this Credit Union to anyone who expects great customer service!
Not recommended at all from bank hours. if you need help after 8 or on weekends good luck cus they're closed n very very unhelpful. Also they want your money, as soon as you have anything in ursavings they'll let any checking charge go through to get there 10$ transfer fee. I even transferred 10$ right after accidentally taking 10$ out of checking instead of savings 1second after withdrawing for them to still take their 10$. They accepted $25 from my 16-year-old son to open a savings account then charged him a five dollars a month fee for being dormant. THEN they charged him an under balance fee because they took his money!! none of this was told to us when we opened the account. This place is nothing but a scam and they’re worse than a bank don’t bring your business here, I never will again I will stick with Maine Family credit union! I want to thank Five County for their courage and leadership to make the decision to accept medical marijuana businesses into their membership. They are 1 of 2 credit unions in Maine to do this. They also have great customer service and staff at the Waterville location, are open till 8PM weekdays and also have hours on Saturdays.
