mixed feelings – When we first moved to St. Louis friends told us about the Loop and Fitz's. I think it is an interesting atmosphere. We have been there several times now. Service is good, not amazing but good enough. Our friend usually asks to substitute fries with a vegetable weird enough once we were told this is not possible. That day everything hit on us. we had to return her food because all her meat (i believe it was beef tips? ) was inedible, almost spoiled. Fitz's Soda Bar & Grill Great food and a really fun place to hang out. On my last visit, we sat on the patio and people-watched along with eating. Kids really enjoy the cream sodas.

Fun for Everyone – With four kids ranging from teenager to pre-schooler, it's hard to find a place that keeps everyone happy -- but Fitz's really nails it. Great food -- neat atmosphere -- energetic workers. Everyone in my family found something they really liked -- especially the home made root beer. Good portions and value. Fitz's is a definite repeat for us.

Memorable Toasted Ravioli! – First visit to Fitz's was in Kansas City when they still had one there. Ran across the one in St. Louis by accident...what a nice surprise. Good portions, lots of variety, root beer is top notch...try all the flavors though, they're all good. Have a teenager and an under 10 kiddlin, they both liked the place as well...in fact we came back two days later to try some other menu items that we didn't get the first time...the toasted ravioli is St. Louis specialty! Fun loop exsperience – A fun casual place to go in the loop. Good burgers and floats. Stay away from the breaded chicken sandwich with the brushetta like topping. Service is usually pretty good but goes down sometimes when they get busy on the weekends.

I was disappointed – We had friends from out of town stop in St Louis for dinner... I picked Fitz's because it was supposed to family friendly (our friends have a very well behaved 2 year old) and it was in the Loop. Our server was horrible and the food wasn't great (my food was cold... it had obviously been sitting out for awhile--I guess while they finished cooking our tables food). The best in American food This is one of my favorite St. Louis restaurants. Besides making all of their own root beer and other sodas, as you can watch through a window in the dining room, they have great food. Huge burgers, pizzas, fries and other American food done a million times better than any fast food or chain place could do it. And you know you're in for a treat when they bring a root beer float in a glass served on a plate. They're just that big. Great Soda Hands down the most appealing part to Fitz's is the soda. They have grea Rootbeer and if you love Rootbeer Floats, Fitz's are the best. My personal favorite is their Ginger Ale which has a bit of a kick. The food is decent for a decent price and the atmosphere is good for just hanging out with friends.

Great Rootbeer, Good Food I liked the rootbeer and for about $2.00 you can get a bottomless cup and try any flavor you want. The food was alright not the best but good for the price. Forget the food, just get rootbeer!!!
