About this business
An old bank building in University City that was converted several years ago into a combination root beer brewery and family restaurant, Fitz's draws an enthusiastic crowd of college students, adults and children. Diners can watch the root beer making and bottling processes through a large glass partition, all the while enjoying good pub food such as hamburgers, pizzas, etc. The root beer, a revered St. Louis formula that dates back to an old roadside stand from the 1940s, is terrific, too.

Excellent location, upstairs and downstairs to accomodate any/all. Outside seating as well. Great Saturday afternoon, after a Delmar Blvd. stroll, restaurant. They are very resonable too.
Fitz's Soda Bar & Grill Great food and a really fun place to hang out. On my last visit, we sat on the patio and people-watched along with eating. Kids really enjoy the cream sodas.
Great food. Love their Mushroom burger. Great for families or meeting up with friends. When it's warm out, the patio is wonderful.

I don't live very close to Fitz's but it is definately worth the trip! Great place to eat or just go for a Rootbeer Float!
Fun for Everyone – With four kids ranging from teenager to pre-schooler, it's hard to find a place that keeps everyone happy -- but Fitz's really nails it. Great food -- neat atmosphere -- energetic workers. Everyone in my family found something they really liked -- especially the home made root beer. Good portions and value. Fitz's is a definite repeat for us.
