I wouldn't use Fitness Connection of any kind and if you do cancel as soon as you can and keep your cancellation receipt for forever! I just got a bill for $30 a year and a half after I canceled my membership. (haven't received a bill in that year and a half mind you) They want me to cancel again and pay $30 because they have no record of my cancellation... neither do I! It was a year and a half ago. FC is a scam don't trust them.
I had the worst experience there. I went to fitness conection with the intent of joining their gym. At first, a young man gave me a tour. He was nice, polite and I enjoyed the tour. However, I was really confused at the fact that the showers were not private in the women's area. Anyway, he asked me if I had my ID on me to sign up, and I nicely explained to him that I wasn't looking into joining immediately, as I needed some time to think about it. They claim to be super cheap, but they have you sign for random fees. They over charged by card, and when I called corporate, a rude woman kept giving attitude about me "trying to get out of paying." They are extremely rude and awful. They tried to make me pay fees of the following month even after I cancelled. Save your money and time. Beware.
Not a stable fitness club I doubt that Fitness Connection will stay in business for much longer. They heavily rely on people paying for the membership but not using it to alleviate the costs for the people who actually use it. I'm pretty sure their members/active member ratio is ridiculous and they are making money on a lot of people simply because they don't mind paying the $10 a month just because it's cheap or they simply don't know how to cancel it. I've never been a big review writer but I HAVE to speak on this behalf: I got scammed by fitness connection. The $9.95/month seems nice...however what it comes with is: 1. Over $100 sign up fee, and if you cancel your account due to financial hardship, you're required to pay that fee again if you ever decide to come back. 2. Yearly dues that cost around $20 3. Worst management and facility policies I have ever been to. The Sparks location. Rude, run around and the worst cancellation process ever. Save the stress and never join, not worth the money. And Their practices probably should be reported better business bureau.
Do NOT take your children to the Kids Club inside the Sparks Fitness Connection. The teenage girls that are supposed to be "watching" your child are too busy talking to each other to watch the kids. I'm highly dissatisfied with the quality of care. My child got injured at the Kids Club and they just sat there and did nothing. I asked them why they didn't call me and they had no response. Gym is nice, although always crowded, but the worst thing is the scam that happens when you try to cancel! I went in and asked to end my membership. The receptionist said it had to be in writing. Wait... I can't cancel my membership in person, that doesn't seem right? Why would that be? Well.... I found out. The gym itself is nice. However, the company that runs the training program is not managed well. I'm on my second month and have been through 2 trainers (not by my choice). I loved the 2nd trainer...a great fit for me. I had an appt set up and texted the trainer to verify our appt a few days before (we had set up the appt almost 2 weeks ago) and he told me he was no longer with the company.
