This has always been one of our special places for special occasions. Sad that they closed the Temecula location. But, we're glad that there is one in San Marcos.
Good place for fresh fish. My parents loved going there and we went frequently. Good memories and good Mesquite grilled fish. Prices a lot higher than they were in 1979. But the bread is still warm and crunchy.
Best seafood and the clam chowder was the best I ever had, me and the hubby had lobster and it was so tender and cooked just eight, very big I couldn't finish mine, the service there was wonderful and a very nice place to dine, we will diff go back👍👍
I have been to Vers Cruz several times. We always order the Cajun catfish and shrimp. The shrimp tastes as good as lobster and the catfish is so tender, you can cut it with a fork. The place is big, and it was packed. I will go again for sure.
Good flavors, prepared well. Overpriced for quantity; excellent value for quality of food. Service OK: can be slow if restaurant isn't busy. Weird right? Scallops Rumaki very nice. Always out of Fisherman's Catch and red snapper. Could be a conspiracy to push higher priced choices. Coleslaw is pedestrian. Carrots uninspired. Fish is always top notch.
Fish Vera Cruz in San Marcos has been our favorite fresh Fish restaurant for over 20 years. Same quality food, outstanding service and easy location.
