It's always a treat to go to the Fish House. Some of the best seafood you will ever have anywhere.
Consistently fresh and nicely cooked seafood. Menu varies based on the market. The architecture is one of impressively large hewn wood beams and brick walls, creating a one of a kind look. The fish you order will be seasoned and grilled on an open flame grill. Prices are competitive with good fish restaurants in Southern California. The wait staff is good, but not remarkable. The tables have white linens and napkins, but many seat cushions could use some refurbishing. Overall a good choice, I keep coming back.
First time for us to visit Fish House Vera Cruz in San Marcos. The place is very nostalgic. It is so unique which makes it different from other seafood restaurants. I like the exterior and interior of the place. As soon as you enter, they have a fish market with a wide variety of seafoods. The crew are very attentive. There is a wide selection in the menu. I had the shrimp and halibut skewer. Food is great.
We have visited this place for years but hadnt been here for several months bFood is great still but service was definitely not that great. And the staff was making so many excuses about how busy they were to both us and others around us. Kept saying how busy it was. But it wasnt. Only one grill going and 3 wait staff working. Took a long time to get anything.
Its good ,i dont like the salad and they just have one dressing salad flavor!
Amazing food! First time there last night for anniversary dinner and we loved the lobster dinner! Great appetizers too!
