This is a great company to work with. The staff is very willing to take the time to hear the problems you have. Then tries to solve or help you solve the problem, which may include putting you with another patient. I like the support I get, and I feel the appreciation. I worked as a nurse for first day for less than a year. If you’re a nurse, I will caution you to please be careful with this company. I went into this telling them that I only take care of pediatric patients and that’s all I’m used to and that’s all I’m comfortable with. They sent me to an 18-year-old’s house that required a Hoyer lift and an excessive amount of chores to do, Including scrubbing the bathroom floor. First Day Home Care is a great place to work! I have a full time hospital job and work a day or two a week to earn fun money for vacations. Scheduling is flexible. Great communication with office staff. And working in clients home is rewarding.
First Day is the best company to work for! Though it’s an agency, they are always reaching out to support you and making sure you have what you need. Pay is competitive and flexible scheduling is great too.
