I worked as a nurse for first day for less than a year. If you’re a nurse, I will caution you to please be careful with this company. I went into this telling them that I only take care of pediatric patients and that’s all I’m used to and that’s all I’m comfortable with. First Day Home Care is a great place to work! I have a full time hospital job and work a day or two a week to earn fun money for vacations. Scheduling is flexible. Great communication with office staff. And working in clients home is rewarding.
First Day is the best company to work for! Though it’s an agency, they are always reaching out to support you and making sure you have what you need. Pay is competitive and flexible scheduling is great too.
I am able to create my own schedule that works for me and my clients. The charting system is user friendly.
Where do I start...communication. What's that you ask? Something this place lacks of 99.9 percent of the time. I had one aide assigned to me for five months which I absolutely adored and loved so no bad words there, but when any scheduling needed to be changed for any reason on my part or their part there was no communication. They would text me 4:52pm when they close at 5 saying there is nobody available for me the next day when I had appointments and needed help at home.
