If you bank with this establishment be very weary. This company as a whole is extremely shady. After moving and starting a new job and getting a new bank I finally had time to go here to close the account (I live over 30 minutes away in the opposite direction now which is why I got a new bank) but upon being helped I was notified that the account had been closed and sent to collections. WHAT? When I stopped using the account I had $3.00 in it. The amount that was sent to collections was all fees of about $30 for not using th... read more

If I could I would leave 0 stars. The supervisors-managers say one thing and then say bother, that is not right. My check I deposited via mobile was approved then 2 days later it was deducted leaving me overdraft. I call the bank and they say I need to fax a letter from my employer stating their is enough funds so I do. Then they say I have to wait 24 hours and I do, then I call after and they tell me that I can deposit a replacement check if I don’t find my original so I deposit it via mobile. Later I get an email saying my... read more

Checks are negotiated in accordance with our Funds Availability Policy which strictly complies with Federal Reserve Regulation CC and is posted at each branch location and provided to each accountholder when an account is opened. This Policy states when a check is deposited the funds are available for withdrawal on the next banking day. If a longer delay will apply, we will provide ... read more
The customer service representative I spoke to today was horrible. She didn't bother to help me out in regards to my online banking situation. As of today, I am transferring my business some where else.
Business response:
It was a pleasure to speak with you by phone about the concerns outlined in your consumer review to the Better Business Bureau. I am happy to have resolved your concerns. Should you require additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at my direct dial number.
Terrible customer service no one will help me after a bank employee closed my checking accounts and kept my money.
Business response:
It was a pleasure to speak with you by phone about the concerns outlined in your consumer review to the Better Business Bureau. As stated during our call, we mailed the remaining funds in your accounts in a form of a cashier’s check to the last known address on record. Texas law states that a claim on a lost, stolen or destroyed cashier’s check becomes enforceable 90 days following the date of the check. Should you require additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at my direct dial number.
This is absolutely by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I don't even know how they remain in business. It took weeks to setup my account and only after I kept calling in regards to the status. There was information that the branch failed to collect, but no one even bother to call me to request the additional information. Also, somewhere during the process they decided that they would put in a different mailing address than what I requested. After multiple requests from me and after several weeks, they finally decide... read more

So far I have had a really good experience. Someone took my card information and spent over $1000.00 on medical bills and $200.00 at Braum's. I was told this could take up to 3 weeks. The issue was resolved in a week. Sometimes hold times are long, but overall this has been a good experience.

I just opened an account with these jokers and i'm immediately regretting it. The lack of communication on something as simple as when my card would arrive was already odd, but then they rejected almost ALL of the deposits i placed in the account, and charged me 70 dollars in NSF fees, now i can't even see my account so i guess it was either frozen or shut down, hopefully. Calling customer service on the phone was so wildly unhelpful that they might as well not even have one, they didn't answer my question on what happened t... read more

Dear Mr. G*******: We are sorry to hear that you did not receive the standard of customer service to which we aspire when you contacted us by phone for assistance with your account. We searched our records for the recordings of your calls placed to Customer Support and found you placed two calls to our financial institution since the establishment of your account. The first call was placed to our automated system on July 19, 2018; we do not show that you spoke with a representative about your account on this date. Your secon... read more
117 years in business, I wonder how the gentlemen who established an honest, dependable, and trust-worthy enterprise such as First National Bank would feel should they have the chance to experience the down-right bordering illegal practices employed by their bank today. A bank that will work with you, yet still set you up to pay 1000's more in charges that compound from their own practices. Your mattress is far safer than First National Bank for your money, if you are looking for a financial solution I would not recommend th... read more
Business response:
I should note that after receiving a call from the bank today, that the special arrangements that First National Bank of Texas has with PayPal to allow PayPal to continue with automated, un-approved resubmits of the same charge, is sickening. It's still going to cost $34 for every re-submit that their bots are sending and it appears, from what Naomi J**** of FNCB said, they have lots and lots of experiance in making large amounts of money from PayPals automated system that they take from customers. Oh and you should know, th... read more
