They are the worst bank yet! Do not... I repeat do not bank with them. They scam people out of their money. They hold transactions to charge overdraft fees. We are in the middle of a pandemic and here we have banks stealing peoples money! I have no idea who the manager ***** is but none of them care about the customer. I wish we never opened an account with them!
I have been trying for eight weeks to get my money from another investment group moved to my brokerage account at First Citizens Bank. I have been switched back and forth from two different branches with each of the persons I've talked with saying that they do not have the license to do what I need. This bank displays appalling customer service. In trying to resolve a credit dispute stemming from a failure of auto draft enrollment for an auto loan, of which I was not informed on any occassion and never received so much as a phone call or email indicated the process had failed, I was informed that First Citizens has no record of any of the FIVE autodraft enrollment attempts, or even a record that I had called into customer service to request the enrollment for three out of five. First citizen bank on ************ in Charlotte, NC is a total wreck. It has been over 2 months and I still haven't received my business debit card. The first time she messed up my ssn which I understood and mistakes happen. We got it taken care of and supposedly it was shipped. I know mail is backed up but its not that terrible. ZERO STARS! First Citizens Bank purchased the bank that I did business with over a year ago. Since that time, they've continued to send monthly statements @ $5 each. I call each month asking them to stop. I've tried to close the account in writing--they said my signature didn't match. My balance has gone to zero, and they had the nerve to charge an OVERDRAFT FEE!!! Once the charged the overdraft fee, they closed my account! Absolutely the worst bank I have ever had. They stole $300 dollars out of my checking account. When questioned about where my money went, no one seems to know anything. Was told by corporate tbat they would help me file a claim if I called back the next day. I called back and now they are telling me they can't file a claim. I will be getting an attorney involved and telling everyone I know about my experience. Stay away from this bank unless you want your money stolen from you with no explanation.
In the top five of worst banks. I banked with first citizen for 9 years. Unfortunately after Covid 19 I experienced some hardship and had to close my checking account in the negative. They harassed and threaten me about paying the amount back. I've tried to work with them but they tell me my return payment amounts are insufficient and want a larger percentage of the balance. Completely unprofessional.

Was with them for about 13 years. They were a pretty decent bank until about 3 years ago. I can sum up the problem in one word. FEES. God do they love fees. Everywhere you turn your getting charged. ATM fees are insane, I did file a complaint with the OTC so they can review their fee schedule which has to be illegal.
