I will not leave any stars, they deserve zeros all across the board...this bank is disgusting and so are the workers ND the branch manager. I am a server and have my own personal account here, my husband is disabled and has his own account. I started buying a few things off market place, mer ari and ******** in late September/October, I had maybe $300 on my account, my husband had over $20,000 in his, I was buying a dew things for our son bc it was starting to turn cool and he needed a few warmer clothes So I purchased som... read more

This bank will charge overdraft fees and insufficient funds fees. Either they will pay bills you have and charge you a fee for not having enough funds OR they won't even pay the bill if you don't have enough funds and then charge you a fee for them not paying the bill. Either way, it's predatory and ridiculous. I had an account for 18 years and when my balance got low, they hit me with as many of these fees as they possibly could. Stay as far away from this business as you possibly can.

Don't do business with this bank (First CItizens Bank) - they will steal your money via fraudulent "fees." Bad for personal finances, bad for business. I opened accounts (checking and savings) with First Citizens so that I could transfer my funds from a state-limited Credit Union and have more flexibility in my banking options. Later I became a small business owner and opened a business account with First Citizens. I deposited a small amount of money into the business account and I left it alone while I worked on other aspec... read more

Moved to a new location and needed to do a wire transfer for closing, there were no local branches and FC does not do wire transfers over the phone. That is a dumb policy, if you don't have branches across the country why have a policy that makes it impossible for your customers to move their money. Whatever, dumb policy aside, that is not why I am leaving this review. I decided to find the closest branch and drive there to do the wire transfer in person. Tried using the branch locator on their website, it was useless. If yo... read more

I've been banking with FC For over 20 years. My check goes in bank Friday morning at 3am. If I try to spend any money between 5 am and anytime on Friday it gives me a negative balance. Even though it says my money is available. They hit me with 32 dollar fee and always got a story to cover *********. They are a bunch of **** crooks who feed off the middle and low class. I've paid 300 or more in fees over ten years spending my own money. I am done with FC. FIRST CROOKS

This bank is rearranging transactions in their benefit to make you overdraft. They have costed us over $200 in overdraft fees and have put my family and a TERRIBLE spot financially. We have been struggling to get by ever since, scrapping pennies just to have dinner at night. They will not fix where they have wronged us because getting overdraft fees refunded are only one time "curtesy" thing that we already had use once when ******* double charged us in the same week. The bank tellers and the customer service line all have s... read more

They are holding social security checks a day later, Their system is holding deposit funds to make it easy to give a person a overdraft fee, When you call to confront the situation they blame you and not their system. This needs to be investigated because they have been doing this way too long and they need to be stopped.

Decided to open a separate bank account from the joint one I share with my wife and found out the hard way that not all banks value their customers the same. I went into this bank to set up an account and was never told that they will allow charges to go through on the account even if there is not any money in the bank. They are saying they do it for emergency purposes as if people would want to pay a $36 fee instead of using their credit card. Then they want to act like they didn't purposely hold off on transaction just to ... read more
