We hired him based upon a $300 quite to install attic stairs. Once onsite he said it would cost $450 to install the stairs. He did not use shims to install the stairs and installed them unevenly. we have a 2 cm gap leading up to our attic. Molding was installed around the opening but he did not measure the width available and had to cut around a built-in smoke detector.
