First of all Eric of Harrisonburg Virginia Firestone is a real piece of s***. My 21 year-old daughter brought in a car of mine for a four wheel alignment she was going out of town on an emergency they said they can get her in at 10:30. Firestone can improve by learning to do a proper alignment so my tires last longer than a year ...
This place will take advantage of you especially if you are a young woman. I took my car just to have a tire replaced because of a failed inspection from another shop that I trust but sadly didn’t have my tire in stock. They charged me for a $12.18 hazard protection after telling me it was included and also tried to convince me to spend another $16 with them on an inspection even though I had already paid somewhere else and would only have to pay $1 there to have it reinspected. WOW! do not go here unless ypu want to spend money on unnecessary repairs. we took my soms car here for four new tires and an inspection(since it was due as well) they replaced the tires and also told us he needed to replace the ball joints in the front and bushings in the rear. alomg with some other very nitpicky things. Their price list for the repairs to "pass inspection" was over $1000. we decided to take the car to our usual mechanic( which we shoild have done in the firat place) for a 2nd opinion... the only thing the ... read more
We had an appointment made and made a special trip in town for it. Driving around and finding stuff to do 3 hours later we go in and they didnt even begin to work on our vehicle and wouldnt be able to until right near closing time. Ridiculous and poor customer service.
Firestone failed my inspection because I “needed all 4 ball joints replaced..” and quoted it around $1000... I took my car for a second opinion to Big L tires in Elkton because I thought that was pricey and they said my suspension was perfect and there was no need to replace the ball joints. They definitely took advantage of the fact that two women were their customers! Never going back and I wouldn’t recommend getting an inspection there.
Failed state inspection at Harrisonburg location for 4 front ball joints on a Jeep Wrangler. Quoted $980. Got second opinion from another mechanic. Ball joints are tight. Passed inspection. This is a scam.
