Opened new account and a hold was placed on funds for 10 business days. Then learned that they don't offer free cashier's checks or anything so you have to order checks (who writes more than a few a year?). Got home to look up my account and discovered that the folder of information they gave me doesn't even contain my account number, so I can't really order checks.

I am closing my account with this company and I have been a loyal customer since 1989. It isn't easy, but it has to be done when you are not treated with loyalty. If you don't care how you are treated, about customer service, about deep roots of a company that should remember how real people used to be treated, then you should not keep your account with this credit union and you should not consider opening an account with them. Two different times, Firefly Credit Union (previously US Federal Credit Union) has deposited my money into the wrong account - as in, a different person's account. Today, it took me two hours, and talking to four different representatives before they fixed the issue and found the "missing" $270. One representative implied that this was my fault.
