Do not bank here. TruStone Financial is a merger between Firefly and Teachers Federal Credit Union. Firefly was a excellent place to bank. I refinanced my mortgage with Firefly. Zero closing costs, great service and low rates. Before my loan officer left, he stated it was going to be a bad merger for the members. After the merger I have had nothing but bad experiences. I would give them 0 stars if I could. My ex-wife and I gave them multiple second chances and they continually failed. The first issue was when they cashed a $2,000+ check against our joint checking from someone sitting in the passenger seat of a drive through. They gave them the full amount without fully verifying the identity. The same people then went to ANOTHER trustone branch and did the same thing with another fraudulent check... Incompetence at its finest. I had credit protection on a car loan I transferred to Firefly CU. Everything was fine until I had an health issue and needed to file a claim with the insurance company. For 18 MONTHS Is so-called employee. Refuse to return my phone calls. Or emails and would leave a message saying, have a nice day. Very ill and not working. I filled out an auto loan application online, giving full disclosure of my Unemployment and my wife's financial income. We were approved and made an agreement with an auto dealer to buy a car. When I started looking for the money and getting a cashiers check, they told me that I was not approved any longer. Once all my loans are paid off im LEAVING THIS BANK. I cannot stand what this bank did to me. When this bank was known as Firefly Credit Union, in February of 2018, I had opened an auto loan. The process was great, great customer service, I knew and fully understood my monthly car payment. Then as of 3 weeks ago, a forced CPI insurance of $1200 was added to my car loan. Apparently, the bank had assumed I didnt have auto insurance so they added their own (infact, I did, they have all the documentation). I went into the ******... read more

Ridiculous customer service. Just spoke to a crazy woman who literally spoke jibberish to me, refused to assist in any way, and then proceeded to repeat I dont care, I dont care, I dont care, I dont care! Good thing she made that clear ~ I almost thought she cared! I asked for a supervisor - she hung up while still repeating I dont care!

Trustone closed my HELOC without cause or notification, I found out 6 months later when I tried to access it (I have aCredit rating of 817). Trustone won't return calls or emails, even after overnighting a package to their compliance officer. This has to be illegal.

Worst banking company experience ever, I have been a member starting 49 years ago with US Federal Credit union and never a problem, changed to Firefly, no issues, but when trustone took it over, nothing but problems. My wife and I will be looking for a new Credit union!!!! The worst!!!!!!
