In 1984, we opened Finish Line in Bakersfield, CA with the idea of creating a bicycle shop that carried the latest and finest cycling products anywhere, as well as providing the highest quality of customer service possible. As a consumer myself, I have always believed that customer service and product knowledge are the two most important aspects of any retail business. Terrible Service This was beyond the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The owner/manager of this company has zero comprehension of how to run a business. FinishLine Bikes Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a Pro. Mnt Biker, Cat 3 RRacer, and father I have had a chance to be involved with and experience all the shops in Bakersfield, and many many many others across the Nation and World. Finish Line Bikes is a Great Shop on many levels, customer service, product knowledge, mechanical service, and rider support. Avoid this shop Purchased a bike and new gear from them recently. Spent over $2500 at this shop in a short amount of time. Owners were nice leading up to the purchase but after that they appear to get an attitude if you require service. They also have no clue how to properly fit a bike and properly fit cycling shoes and gear. Limited factory replacement parts so if an item fails that is under warranty, you have to wait for them to order it.. I will never purchase from this shop again. Finish Line Bicycles is the worst place ever! Finish Line Bikes... Ha I'm finished with them. They totaly suck. I bought a bike from them was was half assed assembled and had to take the bike back three time. Each time I took the bike back it took two days to fix. Realy? Two days to tighten a rear hub. Two days to align the disk brakes and handle bars. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the service was horrible. recommend I look around for specialty bikes. Bikes that have a different look and not everyone has. This place has a variety of bikes and for all price ranges. It does have some specialty bikes, but still not the ones that make me go wow. I would still recommend this store, they are so nice.
Nice Bikes, Bad Service I went into Finish Line yesterday and looked at bikes for about 15 or 20 minutes without anyone assisting me. I looked around in disbelief as the guy working there asked every other customer if they needed help and kept assisting customers who came in after me. It's a shame because I'm serious about buying a bike and they have a nice line of road bikes. I went to another local bike shop nearby, and was assisted right away even though they were short handed. I'm ordering my bike from that shop.
We highly recommend the Finish Line because the staff are so friendly and helpful. We keep going back because we have never been disappointed in the service. Keep up the great work and continue to employ great people!
